DAY 1. FRANSCHHOEK CENTRAL

STOP 1: PATRYSFONTEIN PARK

Situated between Paarl and Franschhoek, this splendid historical farm, is one of the best places to enjoy cycling with your kids. The trails are well marked, and there is a large supply of rental bikes available. Phone first to avoid disappointment.

3. ART JAMMING AT LOURENSFORD

Among the things to do are minigolf and art jamming. Enjoy a crackling bonfire under the starry skies at Elgin. Perfect for a relaxing evening with friends and family, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories.

AMUSEMENT PARKS



1. BUGZ THEME PARK

The kids will love the Cape's take on Disneyland, so it's well worth the price of entry. This delightful park, near the Cape Park Centre in Brackenfell, offers plenty of fun fair-style games, attractions, and petting zoos for kids of all ages. Party booths are provided, and a sizable tent serves as the venue for the food court, other entertainment, and magic shows. Children should always be supervised by their parents when at a water park.

2. VERGELEGEN PLAYPARK

The distinctive design of the playpark at Vergelegen Wine Farm melds well with the historic beauty of the estate. With its swings, slides, tunnels, and tree houses, this will let them let off some steam.

With a large strolling area where you can explore different plant climatic zones, the wine estate Vergelegen in Somerset West is one of the greatest places to take kids. Many old Cape Dutch-style buildings are surrounded by well-kept gardens.

3. CANAL WALK

The area gets its name from the large park with a meandering canal that runs alongside this family-friendly mall. Intaka Island is a neighbouring location where one can go bird viewing. The expansive food court has a movie theater and a gaming arcade. In the warmer months, take a stroll through the park or visit Canal Walk to get away from the chilly, rainy winter weather.







4.GRAND WEST ICE STATION



This enormous ice rink is maintained at a constant temperature during load shedding, making it the ideal location for kids to practice skating all year round. Typically, there are three 1.5-hour sessions every day. The rink is used for practice by many hockey teams, and figure skating is overseen by certified coaches. Older kids will like the contemporary music and bright lighting, and younger kids will love the little micro rink for skating instruction. There are several different takeout options available at the food court, such as Burger King and Nando's. The rink has a movie theater across from it, so the family might spend the entire day there.

WATER PARKS



1. WATERWORLD STRAND

In the hot summer months, kids adore water slides and pools of all sizes. Next door are a putt-putt course and the sea rescue clubhouse, both of which are located on the beach. To accommodate children of all ages, there are pools and slides of different depths. 2. STODELS GARDEN CENTRE

This is not simply a garden center; it's at a handy location. The family can enjoy lunch at Green Leaf Cafe as the kids play in the roomy and well-designed jungle gym. Children will spend hours playing on a sizable wooden play structure with enormous slides and tree cabins with thatch roofs. A well-maintained face painting and craft station is manned by friendly, professional staff. Many trampolines are in constant demand. There is a play train and a jumping castle with a sandpit for younger kids. Goats, pigs, and geese live in a farmyard area, while big monkey cages house these energetic creatures in a setting resembling a jungle.

3. GREEN POINT PARK

This big park offers a lot of activities for kids to enjoy. Bring your bike; there are plenty of traffic-free trails to discover. Visible in the backdrop, the Green Point stadium is a tourist destination by itself. Numerous linked paths and canals lead to a massive, highly attractive wooden waterwheel. For elementary school age kids, the main draw is a sizable wooden playground area with swings and slides; older youngsters can go cycling, skateboarding, or dog walking. The park is close to a number of renowned eateries, and the beaches of Mouille Point Lighthouse are also nearby.

4. THE WATERFRONT PLAYPARK

There are lots of family-friendly things to do at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Kid's Ahoy is a distinct playpark featuring a nautical theme, providing children with an abundance of engaging items to engage with. The huge wheel is one type of amusement park ride.

2. POLKADRAAI BIKE PARK

The banked sides and ramps make biking in a bike park way more fun and adventurous then on a level track. The well-maintained indigenous gardens in this beautiful park, make it a wonderful outing for supporting family members who want to see aloes and other flowers in bloom amid great views of the Helderberg Winelands area and Simonsberg. Be sure to clad the kids in protecting clothing, knee-pads, gloves, protective eyewear and long sleeve tops – in the case of a fall. No helmet no ride! 3. THE JOLLY ROGER

Take your kids on a memorable adventure at the V & A Waterfront by boarding the pirate ship Jolly Roger. 4. KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS

These gardens are renowned worldwide for their variety, rare and endangered plant life, and breathtaking setting at the base of Table Mountain's southern slope. There are countless paths and unique features to discover throughout the seemingly endless gardens. In order to give interest and a touch of human culture, there is frequently an art show on display in addition to regular concerts.
